One Fayetteville man is now in custody after shooting at a police officer, according to police. Just before 11:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, police were called to the 2500 block of Candlewood Drive in response to a suicide call. The caller told police she left the location with her three children, leaving 37-year-old, John Phillips, at the home alone.

One person died in a house fire in Lincoln late Sunday night. Bromley said after the fire was put out, crews had to return around 10:42 p.m. because the flames rekindled. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The identity of the person who died hasn’t been released.
The suspect in the armed robbery in Kibler has been arrested, according to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office. Investigators said Joshua Martin was located around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, at the Pavilion Apartments in Van Buren.
Police arrested John Phillips for aggravated assault and discharge of a prohibited firearm. According to a press release, officer responded to a residence after reports of a suicidal person. When officers arrived, they located Phillips. One officer said he then heard and felt a bullet pass by his head.

A Fayetteville couple was arrested after police say they starved and handcuffed an eight-year-old boy. The Fayetteville Police Department said Josue Tovias, 28, and Melissa Miranda, 33, were taken into custody on Friday. Tovias faces charges of permitting the abuse of a child, first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and more. Miranda faces charges of kidnappings, first-degree terroristic threatening, second-domestic battery and more.

The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that left one man dead. Officers responded to a shooting at a home on South Richard Street at about 3:30 a.m. and found the victim, who was later identified as 22-year-old Deunta Blakemore of Pine Bluff in the passenger seat of a car.

Rogers Police Department responded to the 1900 block of S. 8th Street for a fatality accident. Kevin Crawford, 42, of Rogers, was struck by Lanette Labarre-Amador, 44, of Gravette, as he was crossing the street. Initial investigation indicates Crawford was crossing the street through traffic and not at a crosswalk, according to Rogers Police

Rogers police and the FBI on Saturday arrested four people accused of running a prostitution run involving a teenage girl. The news station reported that authorities searched a home at 402 E. Necessary Road and arrested Corey Glenn, 42; Christopher Haynes, 36; Savannah Schmid, 23; and Diana Hernandez, 25, on felony counts of trafficking of persons.
A Benton County man was wounded on after he reportedly pointed a gun at law enforcement officers who had responded to a disturbance call in Gravette. A person was shot outside a home in Russellville early Sunday. A man is in custody. It happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of East 9th Street, according to the River Valley Leader. Police arrived to find the two people in the front yard. Paramedics rushed both to area hospitals.
Damage at the Huntington Waste Water Treatment Plant was caused by severe weather when it severed a power line. The plant is located at the 400 block of West Oak Street. A power line fell, which cut power to the plant, and crews said they are currently waiting on the electric company to arrive to cut power to that live wire.
