A teenage boy accused of striking a woman in her head with a baseball bat was arrested Sunday in North Little Rock. Officers were called about 2:30 a.m. to the Shorter College Gardens apartment complex at 800 N. Beech St. A woman told police that Destin Woods, 17, had hit her in the back of her head with an aluminum baseball bat, according to an arrest report.
Fort Smith firefighters responded to house fire on 600 N 8th St. around 6 p.m. on Sunday. The Fire Marhsal said that no one was hurt in the fire.

Police were investigating reports Monday that two homes in Little Rock had been damaged by gunfire. Officers were first called at 10:29 a.m. to a home in the 2600 block of South State Street, south of downtown. Leonard Hall, 54, said he'd sat down and noticed his window blinds were broken, according to a police report. He reportedly looked closer and found several bullet holes in the window.
