A repeat offender in Baxter County was caught burglarizing a home and led deputies on a foot chase on Monday morning, according to the sheriff's office. Brandy Brian Barnes, 37, was jailed on charges of residential burglary, theft of property, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and fleeing. Officers say a teen has been injured in a shooting that happened Monday night. Police say the victim is a 15-year-old was allegedly shot in the upper leg while walking on Green Mountain Drive. A teenage boy died Saturday after falling through an iced-over pond in Arkansas, according to police. Hazen High School identified the boy as Drake Jones, 17. Police said Jones' friends pulled him from the water and tried to save his life.

Pittman reportedly realized the officers were there to arrest him and he tried to flee in his vehicle. Police said officers fired at Pittman after he tried to run over them.
